What are the main differences between the two? Which one is better and why?

I'm buying one or the other this week, I know basically shit about the differences between them. Looking for advice.

Must be able to play backup games (pirated).

You can buy games on the shop channel, take photos, store mp3s and browse the internet with the DSi. Plus, it supports WEP-encrypted routers

Acekard 2 > 2i, there are some manufacturing problems with the 2i, but whatever works, go with it.
AKAIO is best firmware, and DSExplorer is good (Homebrew Directory is shut down though.)

There are usually ports of popular games like Portal (StillAlive DS) and Starcraft (DSCraft) available from the Homebrew Hive, (forgot the URL) as well as applications.

You'll need a RAM expansion to use the DS Browser on the Lite though.

Ah... GBA games, totally forgot.

With the Acekard 2, you'll need a secondary flashkart for Slot 2 (the GBA slot) to play GBA games.

Usually with 4chan's rapid search you can find ROMs of most DS games, it's how I learned Pokemon Black sucked.
