Trump is just mad because Kim gets to execute his political enemies with missiles while Trump is still stuck in 2016 trying to retweet lame rumors about some old lady who isn't even running.

It's so sad that Trump supports have to support literally anything he does or says, so that now Republicans are actually praising murderous dictators.

The U.S. goods and services trade deficit with Korea was $9.8 billion in 2017. Korea is currently our 6th largest goods trading partner with $119.8 billion in total (two way) goods trade during 2017. Goods exports totaled $48.3 billion; goods imports totaled $71.4 billion.
U.S. goods and services trade with Korea totaled an estimated $167.6 billion in 2018. Exports were $80.9 billion; imports were $86.7 billion. The U.S. goods and services trade deficit with Korea was $5.8 billion in 2018.
Now I am more than aware of Other benefits of doing business with South Korea. For instance South Korea had the most advanced Cell phone network in the world, because they became the test bed for a fyne San Diego company. The result of having an entire country as a platform led somewhat directly to making such company the largest supplier of chips for cell phones and sources say many people own such devices.

If trump was instead ready to go to war right now, against North Korea, what then? What would you say then?

Going to war with North Korea is a no win situation. Trump can't use Nukes because Nukes will take out South Korea at the same time. He could bomb the fuck out of North Korea and they will just blow up South Korea and they could hit Japan with the new ICBMs they have developed.
No way will Trump send US troops to North Korea - OK Sure they could get a new M*A*S*H movie and TV series out of that war.

Alright then, what is the alternative to war if a war is a no no?

Stalemate. There is a limit to how much $$$ we can continue to cut off from NK - Starving North Koreans will just cross the border to China and China has told Trump they are not about to let that happen. So China ends up being NK's only lifeline.
In this Chess game North Korea ends up being just like Syria where Russia protects Syria.
Ever play Chess? Stalemate happens.

Not exactly. We and they play the game of diplomacy. No way will they give up their Nukes because that is their Queen in the game of Chess. They kept starving the people of the country so they could buy the technology from Pakistan.
Stalemate can go on for another Century.

North Korea could collapse tomorrow or it could never collapse. In the same way, this hostile stalemate could end in favorable terms or not, it could end in war. So the way i see it, we open up a little, invite him to the house to play video games and when he's dependent on our cosy set up, we tell him to drop his nuclear weapons.
