I recently read a summary of that epilogue he wrote. I... Didn't really like the sound of it. Way too dark, and I wasn't onboard with a lot of the changes to the characters.

oh yeah, it's just abysmal. the downhill trend into like, bottom-of-the-barrel young adult nonsense with the games was depressing but not outright revolting, but the epilogues were bad enough to kick my ass into creative gear with intent to build a career and then buy the rights out from under him. like, if it helps (it doesnt really help) it was more or less outlined by him but then the dots were connected by someone whose claim to fame was a 200k word incest fetish fic and a $2 million inheritance that i'm sure has nothing to do with hiveswaps financial problems and the person who ran promstuck? so it being weird and bad fanfic-y is because it was in fact, bad fanfic.
