Is your brother living in the UK? Or is he just into politics?

Did you tell him Brexit is causing the value of Svet's flat to drop?

Oh dear. Anti-semitism is a dividing line between more regular conservatism and... Something bad. Sorry to hear that.

@1,026,463 (D)
I think that, secretly, Svet deeply regrets Brexit because of this. Publicly he has to say he likes it to save face, but privately he's agonising over every k that Brexit takes off of his flat.

Well, we won't have to wait long to see.

Somehow, I think the pro-Brexit people will just go into denial. Guessing they'll blame "saboteurs" or an incompetent government over a no-Brexit's damage, instead of seeing that it was a fundamentally bad idea.

Literally most of the UK thought it was a fundamentally good idea and still do.

Not necessarily. Polls since have been mixed. I don't think it's a useful question unless there's another referendum anyway, but given how much the situation has changed, I wouldn't assume that the support is at the same level.

OK, perhaps opinion has changed, since it was three years ago, but then how on earth do you explain the landslide victory of the Brexit party (still wet behind the ears) in the MEP elections? In fact from this result it looks like even more people have become pro-Brexit, not fewer.

This requires a bit of knowledge about EU elections in the UK. In short, the British public are amongst the least involved across the EU; voter turnout is low, and the motivated UK electorate are those with strong opinions on the EU, who tend to be the Brexit bunch.

Brexit hasn't even happened yet, and look at the Pound. Going 8/8 grate.

It could be explained as the Brexit faithful leaving the Tories, since they've been pretty wishy-washy on Brexit. The Lib Dems have also been similarly buoyed by anti-Brexit people going to them.

Maybe, but if the remainers felt as strongly as the leavers then surely you'd have a victorious Vince instead?

> Brexit hasn't even happened yet, and look at the Pound. Going 8/8 grate.
Yeah it sucks at the moment. :( Hoping it's mostly because of Theresa May's spectacularly bad performance and all the uncertainty it caused.

Congrats on your independence, Britons ?

Don't let the haters get you down. Loyalists talked a bunch of shit in 1776 about how America was making the worst mistake of its life by leaving the (then) world's largest common market and world-dominating naval superpower. Who's laughing now George III? ???

And look at you now. You have the choice of being shot in a church, a school, a supermarket, a mosque, a synagogue, your own home, etc. ?

Oh my god. He was a ghost? A ghost worker?

This has some very frightening implications. Forget immigrants, what is being done about ghosts? They never get tired! How are us regular folk meant to compete with that? Ban them, I say!
