A guy i thought i knew, was very much into trying opioids one day and said he would only take a little. I don't like the thought of that, so I told him he should instead try lsd one day. But what the fuck do i know.

Opioids are incredibly addictive, you can develop physical dependence, you can overdose and withdrawls are hell.
The bad things about LSD are basically do something you really don't want to do while tripping and have a terrible bad trip.
My wife isn't de same after a crazy bad trip. She lived scared and paranoic during months, and now 2 years after it's a problem not 100% solved. It's like PTSD. So hard.
But hey, i have taken LSD a lot of times, with super-heroic dosages, mixing with other drugs, during a bad set and setting, etc, and never had a real bad trip. It depends the people a lot. On low doses can sure say that LSD is a 100% safe drug in all senses, with so much to offer to your life. It's a great tool but can be go out of your hands, only that.

Yeah I know a couple people who went through extended psychoses after acid trips. I know many more junkies though.

In terms of the potential experience, LSD can definitely be scary. But in terms of the potential long-term ramifications, opioids are by far scarier.
