They are colder the longer that they are dead. And they take a while to get stiff. What they remind me of is a wax figure, their skin has that look to it. They look collapsed and stiller than anything that you have ever seen.

They don't always. Especially if they weren't eating or drinking much in the days before their death, which is common. Usually the shitting thing is for sudden/violent deaths

This. People who get hung/hang themselves almost always void their bowels. People made a point not to stand under the gallows for this exact reason, way back when.
