Topic: are you scared of corpses?

Corpses are one of my main phobias, they terrify me. Even at funerals I refuse to get too close, I have this idea that the corpse will rise and eat me! What about you?

Not afraid of them but I have no need to view them. Keep them lids closed.

If you are the funeral of someone you know or loved, would you be willing to touch the corpse? I could never bring myself to do that!

No. At work when someone dies, we have to wash them and change their clothes and sheets/ clean the room before they are taken away. I have touched many dead bodies.

a friend of mine went to mortuary school before being capitalisted out of their job so they know a LOT of things about like. embalming bodies and shit and they'll just drop that info in the middle of a voice call and i am intrigued for just as long as it takes me to remember that involves corpse touching

I have a slightly embarrassing /funny corpse story. Three days ago I was going around and getting the vital signs of all of my patients. One of them I had never met before, but I knew that he was very sick. I walked into the room and he looked like shit. I hooked up the vital sign machine and no numbers came up. He was fucking dead! I had been talking to and joking to, and had hooked up a machine to a corpse. Lmao so embarrassing!

Hell NO - Only once was I talked into going up to the coffin open and ONCE was a good lesson - Not going to repeat that again - Life has options and one can go for the best in life or the worst or inbetween

Me a cup always going full and never EMPTY

Because just moments ago, they were people. If I am not afraid of them in life, why would I be in death?

In my first year at UCLA I connected up with a Lab partner for Chemistry. She introduces me to her dad who owned a mortuary and months later he offered me a job paying more than my well paying Hughes Malibu Research Labs job - At that time I was newly married and making good money in a DREAM Job of a lifetime and I could not help myself cause I laffed and laffed at the idea of working on dead people - His daughter was not amused but she made a really great lab partner - Dad figured I wood make daughter happy by dumping my wife and becoming a business partner LoL

What is scary about an empty vessel?
Also with this particular man, I touched him with my bare hands!

What if anything could happen? I am a paranoid person but I have never been suspicious of a corpse

I guess it is just an irrational fear, but man is it real

If you see a dead body irl, you probably wouldn't be so afraid. They are so still. Some of the most still things you have ever seen. And so odd that there is no fear

Is Matt’s new schtick pretending to be a emo version of Catherine?
