On the other hand, they are so high in sodium.

Sure they're high in sodium, but you've also got B12 in there, plus like 5% of your DRV of zinc and selenium. So, if you think about it, they're basically a health food.

It's a mold that grows in soil that is now grown in vats as a meat substitute.

Why not eat a normal people mushroom instead and also is this the same mold they tried to make packaging material out of

I don't think so. They were specifically trying to find a viable meat substitute.

im gonna fuck this thread up and it's this, the secret weapon, the SPECIAL DOG. its a hot dog (id grill them but i guess boiled would work if you're a cuck) but its got like. slices of hardboiled egg, mayo, some leafy greens (spinach works well) and onion (i use yellow onions but i think any onion would fit) on it. it's so good. i will make some in a few days and post pictures but in the meantime. it's not particularly complex and you could do it yourself. it's just fuckin tasty.

That sounds good! I often used to make sandwiches with an egg fried hard w curry powder/cumin/salt/pep, cheese, lettuce, w/e other veg, cheap pâté w salt/pep, whatever else like mayo or hummus
Incredibly filling/wholesome and quite cheap

Not liking seafood. Because so many like it and see it as a treat

They started looking for meat alternatives around the 60s because they thought there would be a worldwide shortage of meat. @1,025,173 (chill dog !!81dzJNNYL)
They have vegan Quorn too now. The main ingredient is still mycoprotein though which is a fancy way of saying soil fungi.

Used to just have issues stomaching food at all! now it's just seafood, milk, and to a lesser extent raw tomatoes and still a bit mushrooms. Thats not bad. :)
