There are broken young men in every single country on earth. In only one "first world" country do they kill 10+ people on a given day by shooting up a public place. Also every single liberal I know is begging for more emphasis on de-radicalizing white supremacists and white nationalists, but seeing as their ideologies are like 80% the same as this administration, there is zero chance of that happening. If you watch Tucker Carlson and listen to Donald Trump you get 80% of the way to where this guy went.

As for authenticity, here's how the Washington Post describes the manifesto:
After a brief introduction, the 2,300-word manifesto is divided into five sections: political reasons for the attack, economic reasons, equipment that will be used to carry out the shooting, the expected reaction to the attack, and “personal reasons and thoughts.” Titled “The Inconvenient Truth,” the document is a jumble of positions and ideologies. In it, the writer warns of the dangers of environmental degradation, rails against corporate influence in the government and cautions against interracial marriage.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/08/04/whats-inside-hate-filled-manifesto-linked-el-paso-shooter/?utm_term=.fad005609e27
This one (and the one I posted that a certain Admin removed earlier) are 2,340 words, and divided into the same five sections, in the same order, and have the same content described in the Washington Post article.

Unless someone can find a better source, I would have to believe this is the real manifesto. Sadly I cannot find any "mainstream" media either linking to the manifesto or publishing the full version.

I haven't thought about this before but I spent a while thinking about it and what I think it is basically is long term thinking. I mean what good is a Thousand Year Reich if climate change and pollution render it uninhabitable halfway through? The 14 Words are meaningless if the white race you preserve has no environment worth living in.

This kind of long term thinking seems paradoxical coming from someone who did something that can only end in death, or imprisonment followed by a death sentence. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. I guess it's also possible he's a racist who just happens to care about the environment in the same way that Hitler was a racist who just happened to care about animal welfare and the dangers of cigarette smoking. The Nazis were way ahead of their time on the smoking front. I don't think there's any link between vegetarianism and national socialism. Probably none for environmentalism and racially motivated mass shootings either. We've got a sample size of like 2 so I'd want to see a lot more explicitly pro-environmentalist racist mass shooters before I'd buy a link between them.

I don't think environmentalism is polarized to any one ideology. Probably the more violent elements of Antifa aren't so big on paper towels either.

Do you think the El Paso shooter was really into environmentalism or was it just something he talked about? Like could we expect to find out that he spent time planting trees and helping out at a local recycling effort? Was he worried about the plight of the black footed ferret or long nosed bat? Or did it just fold nicely into his "the world is going to shit" narrative so he could see himself as fighting some larger cause that was nebulously contributed to by overpopulation?

I just wonder what makes people pick up on certain issues.

He devoted 11.5% (270/2,340 words) of his manifesto to environmentalism so it does seem to have been important to him. He went into some detail about it too. A lot of the economic part of the manifesto railing against corporations using immigration for cheap labor and raping the environment to maximize profit comes off as very leftist. I think there's a good chance the shooter was a former leftist who got "redpilled" at some point within the past few years. This is probably pretty common. Andrew Anglin was a dreadlocked vegan progressive with a Filipina girlfriend before he became Julius Streicher 2.0 and of course Mussolini was a socialist before he was a fascist.

I just wonder how environmental he actually was though. Was he the guy gathering up brass at the gun range talking about how industrial mining is stripping the planet clean? Or was it just talking points for him? It's not like he felt angry enough to go out and snipe oil company lobbyists or organize labor unions. In the end, he decided to go shoot Hispanic people.

It sounds like he a guy looking to blame someone for what he saw as his own bleak prospects in life. He landed on greedy corporations for a little while before deciding that the problem was some confused mixture of immigration and race mixing.

@1,024,321 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC)
> Lot of people have the same view so why does Tucker Carlson stand out in particular?
Visibility and influence, I imagine. The same reason any media figure is influential. If someone's stated reason gunning people down is that they are immigrants who will take their jobs and culture and vote differently, then it's pretty natural to connect that to the people who say that the loudest on television.

Anonymous H replied with this 6 years ago, 1 hour later, 18 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,024,394

The first mistake people are making is to assume the creep meant anything he said in his manifesto.
The media and politicians don’t understand the line that was crossed with Christchurch tragedy.

We’re now facing something new.
Before, a person intensely motivated by politics would write a manifesto to explain their reasons for resorting to violence.
Shitposting trolls on the chans aren’t trying to affect real political change.
The manifesto is PART of the trolling

The Christchurch shooter streamed his mass murder live over social media.
Part of the 'fun' for him & his followers on the chans was that they knew the authorities were going to treat his contradictory, absurd manifesto as if it were real.

The Antifa guy from three weeks ago, now THAT was an old style attempt at a mass murder.
He left behind a rambling, disjointed manifesto enumerating political reasons for his attack on the ICE facility.

But something new has been added into the mix in the last year and we have to recognize it:

Mass shootings done for fun as the ultimate troll where these shitposters write confusing manifestos and then sit back & watch the fun as both sides claim he belongs to the other.

Do you realize what's happening?

These shitposters know how the mainstream media reacts to one of these mass shooting events, how both sides immediately start poring over the manifesto, scouring the social media, each trying to say to the other "AHA! HE BLONGS TO YOU GUYS!"

Exactly! But let's be specific. They are common talking points post-Trump. Very few even Republican elected politicians were saying this kind of explicit "replacement" b.s. in 2015. Now it's par for the course directly as a result of Trump , with Carlson being his most prominent news supporter (he has by metrics the most watched, or second most to Sean Hannity, primetime TV "news" show in the country).

> that is no proof that they are the cause of anything
The sole cause? No, probably not. There's certainly room for personal freedom and choice in life. But when people make rational decisions to get themselves killed in order to shoot a bunch of "invaders" to "remove the threat of the Hispanic voting bloc" it probably has something to do with the people describing that "threat" using similar language on the media being sent into their home.

I feel like that should at least make you scratch your head and wonder about the similarities.
