I'm currently drinking Beck's Light - I switched from Amstel Light as Beck's has only 64 calories but, IMHO, more taste. It's a very clear beer, a greenish-yellow tint (I use a coke glass with some green tint, so it might be somewhat that), but what it lacks in body and color it makes up in flavor and aroma. It also is well-carbonated and pretty damn good, especially for a beer with half the calories of a soda.
I sometimes indulge myself with a nice, cloudy, and occasionally yeasty beer but for my default weeknight/dinner beer, Beck's can't be beat. Tastes all the better because I've been bogged down with schoolwork and haven't had a chance to get that delicious beery goodness in a week.

Just buy pure grain alcohol and dillute it, if you are concerned about cost.

True, which is why most light beers are in the ~3-4% alcohol range. It isn't a problem for the occasional weeknight beer, when I just want something to end the day and help me sleep.

But beers have carbs on tops of calories. A light beer can have the same amount of alcohol but less carbs, so less calories overall even though there are still calories from the alcohol.

Thx, I searched it. Beer advocate gives it a C, which is pretty good for a light beer (my Beck's gets a D, but then bud light gets a D minus).
