There are a couple or three around 50 but is there anyone older than that?

A better question might be. Who among the younger are happy with their lives and have sufficient money to enjoy life. Who among those are debt free.

Who among you would rather be 80 and debt free or 25 and owe $200,000?

The maximum monthly Social Security benefit that an individual who files a claim for Social Security retirement benefits in 2019 can receive per month is: $3,770 = $45,240 and any income earned is not taxed at that age.

That is NOT enough to live So Cal Lifestyles but might work in say Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee. Probably not in Oregon unless inland in places no one wants to live.

There is a well known person here who told everyone he had inherited $2.2 million. Upon exam on the state gov web site that lists the dead and estate values - All came up with DEBTS and not one with any income.

Recently in news several famous people have died and left Nada one dime to the relatives.

Anderson Cooper said
“My mom’s made clear to me that there’s no trust fund. There’s none of that,” the CNN anchor told Stern. “I don’t believe in inheriting money. I think it’s an initiative sucker. I think it’s a curse. Who’s inherited a lot of money that has gone on to do things in their life? From the time I was growing up, if I felt like there was some pot of gold waiting for me, I don’t know if I would have been so motivated.”

His Mom was not exactly telling the truth or if so, changed her mind because the will was filed with court and Cooper ends up with approx $200 Million.
