I don't believe father Merrin holds that against him.

It's been a lot of years since I took a course where Rasputin was a topic in school. You made me review his history via Wikepedia.
Lots to read and I did. Bet you did not no his daughter ended up in USA as a Lion Trainer.

I didn't know and that's messed up, I guess life was more eventful than I thought in those times.

Trust him on what issues? He's been dead for over a hundred years.

I saw a documentary, Father Merrin, and in this documentary it was revealed that he became a pilgrim as mercy punishment for theft. The peaceful and graceful ways of the unorthodox church, it was too rigid for his soul. He ends up finding (the story goes) secret factions within the church that believes its own things, one such belief was a perverted logic that sinning brought you closer to God because then you could repent.

Is the argument that TG-Comix gets closer to his God by raping children. Then some day, when he is about to die he repents.

You just frothed at the mouth a little typing that last post, didn't you? Particularly when you edited the quotation in order to highlight your favourite words.

It is strange how that's so often the topic for some reason.

He's been dead for over a hundred years and you ask this?

How long has jesus been dead and why should we trust him?

Jesus was the Son of God, which is why we should trust Him, and He is not dead, He is resurrected.

Bless you for the questions, friend.

Was? Not is? Hmmmm interesting...

> which is why we should trust him

What kind of father would let his son kill himself, and not try to take his place?

> he is not dead, he is resurrected.

Can you please prove this for me? How do we know for certain that Father Rasputin was not resurrected?

One who so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)

Of course, as can everyone who has known Jesus in their lives! Essentially what you're asking me here is to introduce you to Him, which I am more than happy to do if it is what you want.

How is Russia these days? Was it awkward for you, a British man, after the novichok incident?

On fire, apparently:

Beyond that I'm not sure, I don't often read about Russian news to be honest.

> Was it awkward for you after the novichok incident?

As a priest I had several parishioners ask for my guidance in coming to terms with evil in our world, but "awkward"? No, not especially. We're trained to discuss global events.

Bless you for the questions, friend.

You mean the way you introduce Jesus to the children you molest.

So like the asshole he is, he lets his son die?

How is this proving it to me? Its really not.

It's through Christ's sacrifice that we are saved.

If a person I knew asked me to prove to them that Paris existed, I would take them to Paris. If you asked me to prove to you a certain person I knew existed, I would take you to that person. Stop me when the logic begins to sink in.

Any age can know Jesus.

Let me know if you want me to introduce you to Him. And bless you, child!

So in other words, you can take me to meet this jesus, face to face?

When I talk to him(not pray), will he respond immediately? If I ask him if he prefers Coke or pepsi, will he give me an immediate answer?

In time, yes.

(same thing)

If an immediate answer is what you require, then yes.

> If I ask Him if He prefers Coke or Pepsi, will He give me an immediate answer?

If an immediate answer to that question is what you require, then yes.
