$16,989 per year for a single person, less 50% of any earned income. On that special Canuck program
$17,532 per year is what the average person gets in US and they are not hit with anything close to 50% against it for any earned income.
Jobs like bartenders, general unskilled workers etc.

$45,240 is the amount a professional degreed person earns in US and there is NO deduction on any earned income after the age of 70
