Father, I harbor hatred in my heart for an old man.

Go on, I'm listening. How has this old man offended you?

I once met a girl who use to be a nun. We started dating and having sex. I got drunk one night and force ably packed her shit. She broke up with me after that and I feel bad about it now. I know I hurt her psychically and mentally. I caused her rectum to bleed and her mind to hate. Can you absolve me for this act?

What does that have to do with harboring hared for an old man?? But in any case to answer your question - do you repent of the action you described?

I do not hate any old men father. You must have me confused with someone else.
Yes I repent. I have sworn off all shit packing.

But listen now, shit packing isn't the sin. Forcibly packing her shit is! You're not repenting!

You replied to my post regarding a poster's anger towards an old man so I thought maybe you'd switched devices or something. Regardless, since you truly repent of your sin then say the Act of Contrition and then I will tell you your penance.

He has stalked and harassed me and my family for 25 years.

Syntax doesn't have any family to stalk. Except a daughter I think. but he doesn't see her or speak to her.

An old man goes into a confessional. He says, "I'm 70 years old and I've been a widower for the past 10 years. Last weekend I was driving home and I saw two beautiful young women with a broken down car stranded on the side of the road. I offered to give them a ride home in my car; they were grateful and accepted. As we were driving they asked me about my sex life, and I told them I hadn't had sex in the last 10 years since my wife passed. Well, one thing led to another and we end up back at their place and these two women give me the most incredible night of sex I've ever had, followed by the most incredible morning of sex I've ever had, and they're waiting for me to return tonight."
The priest asks, "When was the last time you confessed your sins?"
The old man goes, "This is actually my first time ever confessing."
The priest says, "You're 70 years old and this is the first confession you've ever made?"
The old man says, "Yeah, I'm Jewish after all."
The priest asks, "If you're Jewish, why are you telling me?"
The old man goes, "Telling you? I'm telling everybody!"

That's not how forgiveness works my child. If you truly forgive somebody then the "hatred" necessarily leaves you. If you still feel hatred then it means you have not forgiven that person. Would you like my help in forgiving this man who angers you?

Yes, Father. But how can I forgive him when he continues to unrepentantly sin against me?

> Yes, Father. But how can I forgive him when he continues to unrepentantly sin against me?
For heaven's sake could people please stick to one UID with these confessions?!? This is getting very confusing!
So to be clear, you're the person who harbors hatred against an old man (in other words, Anons A, E and 'Billi')? If so, then to answer your question: forgiveness does not depend upon the actions of others. The fact that his stalking influences your ability to forgive means that he has control over you. By the simple action of stalking, he can dictate your emotional and spiritual state. This is enormous power you are allowing him to wield over you. In a sense, he is deciding whether your eternal soul will be saved or damned! Which I imagine is an idea that makes him gleeful. Does his stalking affect your life in any meaningful way?

> Wait, that's not me. I am the old man hating guy.
I know it's not. There's more than one confession going on in here right now. Though I must say you're not helping matters with the constant UID changes!

Yes it affects my lifestyle. He sends things to my family, for instance. How do I forgive him, Father?
