A hot summer day in Texas. My checking account balance is -$133.77

My cash reserves amount to, perhaps, $5 if I am lucky. I begin to look through my emergency stockpile of food, which in reality is merely the foods I purchase but hate to eat. Bags of pinto beans. Bags of rice, and several cans of Kroger french green beans.

Lark! And brhold, a can of mixed vegetables. Perhaps this will hold me over for a while.

Sadly, I only seem to be hungrier afterwards.
