I ignored a few procedures at work which led to a potential disaster. It's the first time I've ever had a disciplinary and it was quite strange. Because I hold a senior position it was mostly a casual chat with my bosses who are in the same age bracket at me but words like "for your own preservation" which implied the issue was very serious.
Those are some judgemental thoughts either way you phrase em'

You cant go around with an attitude that the whole operation would be in ashes the next day if you stopped showing up.
That's generally how people are when they are lax in their duties and then are flabbergasted when the boss comes down on them.
