Topic: If you support Trump, then you are a racist. Period.

Anonymous A started this discussion 6 years ago #88,869

His latest Tweets telling brown-skinned NATURAL BORN AMERICAN CITIZEN Congresswomen to "go back to their shithole countries" is clearly racist and misogynist. Sorry but you can no longer deny this. If you are OK with this, then you ARE a racist.

No. If you support Trump, then you support an open racist. That means you are perfectly fine with a racist leader. By tacit approval, you are making yourself out to be a racist. You are not just associating with him, but actually supporting him.

Yes. So whom is he referring to specifically? The only person who fits the bill is Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, Democrat congresswoman for Minnesota's 5th district, who was born in Mogadishu, Somalia. When she was growing up in the 80s and 90s, Somalia and neighboring Ethiopia were indeed going through what can absolutely be described as a complete and total catastrophe. Look up Siad Barre if you had no idea about any of this. This terrible situation is what prompted Omar's family to flee their home country for the U.S. in the first place.

Why did he say this? Because this treacherous cunt (instead of being humbly and forever grateful for the asylum granted to her and her family by the United States) has been spreading her antisemitic doctrine since 2012. If you really think tropes such as “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.” and mockery about American anxiety over al-Qaeda have any place in the U.S. Congress, then there's something very wrong with you.

What Trump said was entirely accurate and I wish he would call out these traitors more frequently.

Inb4 the old bigotry of low expectations line: "Brown people can't be racist".

For your reading pleasure I have bolded the three times he referred to the group of Congresswomen as a group. If you notice nowhere does he say "Ilhan Omar" or any variation thereof. The reason for that is because he isn't talking about her specifically, he's talking about the group of them.

They aren't trying to do anything here, unless they somehow hacked into his account and made him tweet this.

I've already explained in some detail who I think he was referring to. I take it you did not bother to verify any of it for yourself. First learn about the history of Omar's country, then do a bit of digging into her career, then we can have a proper discussion.

For your reading pleasure I have bolded where I made exactly the same argument as you did, and why I think he used the plural. Also, are you saying that the endless raging over the last several years about how one MUST always use the pronoun "they" in order to generalize can't possibly apply in this case? If so that's quite a weak argument.

And then when the Democrats did look bad (again, unclear how exactly), his finishing touch was to...loudly announce his simplistic plan to the world and claim victory? Ilhan Omar has an approval rating of just 9% among swing state voters. AOC is around 21%. Rather poor to put it mildly. "The squad" has been embarrassing the Democrats for a while now (if you need to ask how then you haven't been paying attention). By calling them out and criticizing them, Trump has basically forced the senior Democrats (like Pelosi) to rally behind their fellow party members. Not supporting them would not only reveal division & weakness, but, by their own argument, it means they are also racists, right? As a result these four clowns have become the face of the Democrat party, and that face currently has a lot of egg on it.
