We all want good public transport, and also we want to help reduce our carbon output.
So j present to you, the peoples pedal power electric monorail! Simply sit down amongst the other passengers and start to pedal, and through an ingenious contraption of gears and belts, the pedal power combines into forward motion.
And you don't pay any money for fares! The price you pay is the sweat from your brow and the grit of your stamina.
It will help reduce damaging carbon output from private automobile ownership and also get the population fit and healthy!

The problem is that lazy people would just pretend to peddle. But maybe a light could go on over their seats for public shaming.
