Socialism is using tax money for the benefit of the society. In my town, the government owns the electric company, for example. That is Socialism. It is debatable as a political system, but it is not inherently evil, nor is it Communism.Communism is when the proletariat rises up and seizes the means of production, and everyone lives on communal farms or factory sites, and is given necessities from the group whole. The proletariat own everything.
They are two different things. It is disingenuous when conservatives conflate the two.
