To an extent yes, but they will steal small things if you are not home and will rat you out to the office if you aree too dirty.

Have you considered the alternative.
bert is around 2day for advice. Tent will cost you the same as one day in cheap motel and tent can be used until it's stolen or taken away by city cleaning people so you just buy a new one.
No toilet to worry about because you can do as they do in China and just use the street or find an alley such as bert did for a couple of years. Foam pad for sleeping and a bag - Sure they will disappear on you but you buy new ones - Cleaning is no problem because you just throw away and get new. You're still money ahead and only move into Motel when it rains.

I regularly do that, because I travel for work. It's okay, but there's nothing like having your own space. I drive or fly home every second weekend, and leaving again is always a shit feeling.

I'm self employed, and accommodation is in the hourly rate. I live in shit bag hotels and in pubs because they are cheap. At the moment I'm boarding with a family in their detached self contained unit. One night costs less than I earn per hour and it's comfortable and quiet.
