I found out recently that fava beans, or broad beans, are also called horse beans. I found this out from a snack bag from the Orient labelled in English as "strange flavour horse beans". Wow, I was thinking, what an intriguing way to describe your product. Then I see the shelf label had the intended translation: mixed flavlor horse beans. The horse bean company had chosen "strange" to indicate that there was more than one flaveour in there, apparently not familiar enough with English to notice the meaning was not conveyed well.
