Why do you think you know better than a professional chef how to design a dish? In most of the world, that is considered childish, low-class, and embarrassing. Eat your fucking food, you spoiled child!

All too often, I hear of people decrying the fact that their children will only eat chicken fingers and hotdogs. Let’s back up for a second. In a traditional household….who buys the food? Who controls the food? Who prepares the food? Is it a toddler? Ummm….at last count, no. It’s the parents. I don’t understand why these houses have a constant supply of chicken fingers and hot dogs. The reason these kidlets are eating these culinary transgressions is that the parents are FEEDING IT TO THEM. They have little nutritional value, are chock full of nitrates and yucky things I can’t pronounce. I could be wrong here, but children don’t generally starve themselves. People who are hungry will eat what is available. And it’s only kids in North America who seem to be succumbing to the separate dinner/chicken finger phenomenon. So bottom line, don’t start your kids on crap and they probably won’t end up eating only crap.

What makes a professional chef's opinion more valid than anyone else's?

I would take Meta's opinion on food over Guy Fieri's, wouldn't you?

Hot dog historian and professor emeritus at Roosevelt University Bruce Kraig believes the term "hot dog" was invented in the late 19th century by American observers of German immigrants, who ate sausages on buns.

hey great, it's kind of an experiment. I've come up with several ideas and this was the simplest one to test so it went first: generate random RGB values for every character.

Picky eaters can be transgender and that makes this post transphobic. That's problematic!

OK, this simply holds green and blue values to zero while randomizing red from 0 to 255, or 00 to FF in hexadecimal.

Contrast is much better.

Sheila LaBoof replied with this 6 years ago, 5 minutes later, 6 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,007,673

Indeed it is better contrast. I could avoid extreme light and/or extreme dark letters by limiting the ranges of random numbers, I figure. More complicatedly, I could calculate a graeyscale value as a basis for rejection when extreme low/high.

Keep in mind we have users with different CSS - some light, some dark, and in a range of different colors. Someone is always going to complain.

I once went to a fancy casino as part of a work party and there was a mix up with my order and the food I got was made by some celebrity chef and was apparently super expensive? Anyway it was fucking awful, roast aubergine and there was a little bit of sauce over the plate in a fancy wave pattern. I ate it and later went to taco Bell because it just wasn't a good meal. Posh people eat retardedly.

Sheila LaBoof replied with this 6 years ago, 8 hours later, 18 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,007,934

does the chef come on a whore's back with the same wave pattern, I wonder
