Just teach them addition and multiplication. You don't need subtraction: instead of subtracting, just add a negative number. Instead of, say, 5-3=2, you just make it be 5+(-3)=2. Same for division. Instead of 10/5=2, just do 10*.2=5

That way the time teaching arithmetic can be cut in half.
