Def suffers from a personality disorder which borders on pathological - and
often crosses that border. Essentially, he is an unlikeable person who yearns
to be liked and accepted, but can't keep himself from from acting like a jackass.
He has both it and intelligence, which initially attracts people to him, but
he also is a liar and a cheat, which then drives most of those people away in
disgust.

In an effort to lessen the psychic trauma created by the rejection Def decides
these people are "enemies" and begins to manufacture reasons and excuses
for hounding and attacking them with a fury and persistence that can only be
viewed as psychotic. His viciousness does indeed, over time, make people into
his enemies, and thus reinforces his original delusions.

As is the case with many suffering from deeply-ingrained mental disorders, Def
is - for limited periods of time - able to mask his affliction and pretend to
be a stable and rational person. The facade is an extrmely thin one, however,
and easily seen through with only minimal effort and perception.

To specifically answer your question, Def tore this place apart because once
people here got to know him, they quickly became aware of how vile and poisonous
his personality is and rejected him - usually with the strongest means at their
disposal. This includes the trolls.

Def, facing perhaps the worst rejection in a long and bitter and basically impotent
life filled with rejections - found ways to wreak terrible vengence. Online
his craven sneakiness and revolting cowardice translated into a potent weapon.
Using the lowest and most hateful of means, Def destroyed the shack of love.
And why? Because he was so unloveable that even online most people couldn't
stand his nasty person.
