It was pulled from theatres shortly after being released, bc test audiences didn't respond well. They were expecting another Bill and Ted, but this film is not another Bill and Ted.

I didn't say it was a bad movie, I'm just telling you why you hadn't heard of it previously. It fell into obscurity, due to the previously mentioned circumstances.
