I would go back and start an anonymous BBS that grows to become bigger than Google, Twitter, and Facebook combined.

I didn't choose my profession, I was chosen for it (priests are called by God). But if that hadn't happened and I could go back and select a different career path, I would like to be a professor of Latin and Classical literature. Or if not professor, then a school teacher of Latin. It is a matter of profound sadness to me that the glorious language is being taught less and less in our public schools.

Bullshit. You role play priest as a cover up, when you molest children.

Nobody "needs" to know how to play Beethoven's 23rd piano sonata ("Appassionata") either, but for over 200 years millions of people have studied to learn it because beauty is its own aim and requires no other justification.

As long as it involves kids, right?

Person: "When I grow up, I want to be a teacher"

That comment of yours reveals so much about your diseased mind. For whatever reason, any mention of kids makes you think about sex. Get help, urgently.

> I don't think schools should teach all kids to play beethovens 23rd piano sonata either.
Good for you, but irrelevant to the broader point, which is that a rounded education isn't to be considered from the point of view of what is "needed".

School time is limited, so you have to ask yourself what skills do you want to invest your youth in?
I don't think that teaching a dead language brings any benefit to a general school child. The place for learning Latin is at University-level, in relevant fields.
Its better to teach kids modern languages, particularly French and Spanish. A much more useful skill to teach a child.

This is a more reasonable opinion than your first one, which was:

God has the value of a stinking turd.
In Asia turds have more value than God, because turds can fertilize crops.

So your new theory is that Latin is useless because only historians, doctors and archeologists need it, but French should be taught in schools so that people can communicate with some Africans.

Your claim is that "nobody" needs to know Latin in 2019. Why do you have an obsession with focussing only on schoolchildren? How many schoolchildren are quantum physicists? None. So does it follow that "nobody" needs to know quantum physics in 2019? How many schoolchildren are brain surgeons? None. So does it follow that "nobody" needs to know neurology in 2019?

It's reasonably clear at this stage that you never went to university. But if you had, you would know that "professors" do not teach schoolchildren.
And I notice you dodged my questions to you in this post: @1,003,490 (Father Merrin !u5oFWxmY7U)
