I always play at computing. That way it doesn't seem like work.

Externally hosted imageI remember when I bought my first 1 GB flash drive. It was a Sony Micro Vault. I want to say this was around 2006. It was just amazing because this was the size of a good computer hard drive 10 years ago (ie in 1996). It was about $30. They had up to 4GB which was just INSANE.

Weird how time flies.

Externally hosted imageNow they're giving away 1GB flash drives. I have a few of these cards from various companies in a drawer. It's a 1GB (though apparently they go up to 4GB but I've only seen 1GB) flash drive.

It's actually kind of handy. I like the idea of keeping it protected in my wallet more than on a key chain or key ring, where a flash drive is subject to more damage. Though with cloud storage and ubiquitous 4G/wifi there's not much need anymore to carry files from place to place anymore.

It way more obvious when you ask to use someone's computer to download the privilege elevation payload and keylogger from your Dropbox or Google Drive. I think flash keys are the way to go.

Is that why the new Macbooks don't have any ports? ?

If you are still using USB flash drives, then you are just playing at computing.

Not according to Apple ???

https://www.apple.com/macbook/specs/

Also it's a complete fucking joke that my $130 laptop can connect to a monitor and charge at the same time but a $1,200 Macbook cannot without a bullshit $79 adapter ?

Apple has a pretty good dongle racket going, but I guess it doubles as security. Even government spies who spend days writing complex malware, running packet sniffers, and wrangling botnets on the darkweb don't want to deal with the headache of going to an Apple store to pick out the right converter dongle.

Desktop PCs are fine if you assemble one yourself. I would not want a Mac for a desktop workstation and have a PC myself but for a laptop I would go with Mac if I was going to get a laptop.

Windows laptops are laughably bad, they look cheap for the most part, are sluggish out of the box due to preloaded shitware, have short lifespans and are designed to break down in a couple years so you have to buy a new one. High performance ones are cartoonishly large, have ugly neon lights, loud as fuck fans, and look like a Power Ranger suit or a Monster Energy can.
