My species has evolved a body capable of managing its internal pH levels through a series of biochemical reactions in my organs.

Mine does too, but I found my system functions better when it doesn't have to work as hard to maintain the preferred levels.

Water is neutral, you need to drink alkali to counteract the acid in your system. As an anonymous fora poster, I recommend Domestos.

the problem with trying to have intake at precisely ideal levels at all times is that your system can grow lazy, always expecting perfection.
the normal healthy body is fine with a wide range and keeps its ability to be fine with a wide range by continued exposure to a wide range.
in development especially, the body learns to be adaptable based upon what it experiences.

Yeah but drinking a couple bottles of 9.5 pH water isn't going to make my system lazy after 30 years of by body maintaining it's homeostasis on it's own

all I say is, you don't have to chase some ideal, and people are fine to just drink what they feel like drinking and don't have to even think about it

I'm not hating on how anyone else lives their life, or what water they drink, I was only stating that I happened to be drinking some basic water, and explained my reasoning for it. I'm not going on a water crusade
