I think that, instead of making weak excuses like blaming video games or mental health, American conservatives need to have some courage. The courage to say that they think that regular mass shootings are an acceptable trade-off for guns.
It's become pretty clear that this is what they think. If they just came out and said it, it would bring much more honesty to this debate.

Do you think if we named an alcoholic beverage after the mass shooting trend that it would have a cooling effect?
Like instead of an irish car bomb we could drink some mangled students or a bloody classmate.

As long as theres millions of abortions a year a few thousand gun deaths are irrelevant.
Tell you what, you can take away 50,000 guns for every 500,000 abortions you stop each year. How's that?

But the gun cann't load a bullet into it's chamber. Nor can it aim itself at an object. Nor can it pull it's trigger.
How does it kill people if it can't do those things?

No, you're being ignorant of the heartbest thats being referenced. The point of an abortion, but is to remove the viability of a fetus. If that fetus has a heartbeat, the doctor stops it during an abortive process.

I didn't mention anything about the patient, or about the safety of said procedure, just pointing out the heartbeat being stopped, since you were apparently unaware that abortion is the safest way to stop a heartbeat of a fetus by a professional. I don't have any opinions on the matter, but yours seem to be helping your ignorance?
Not all abortions stop a heartbeat, I'm sure many are performed before the cluster of cells forms an organ that resembles a beating heart.
But some abortion procedures specifically stop the heartbeat of the fetus, not the "patient" the woman carrying the fetus and having the procedure done.
And I feel like you may not have had an abortion before? My friend told me it was a pretty rough experience, physically and mentally, so if you'd like to dance around with definitions of words, define harm to exclude physical and emotional effects on a person.

The victims only matter if they are Muslims, or Jews, or gays, minorities etc. Then there can be a media circus for a couple of days. It's bonus points if the shooter wears a maga hat, so Trump can be blamed.

If a drunk driver crashes into and kills a sober driver, the best thing to do is remove all cars from sober drivers so it doesn't happen again. This is how gun control works.

well no, two people is generally not considered a multiple fatality event, as it is far too commonplace, as when discovering your wife in the sack with the iceman
OK, that link cites an event from February of 2019, though no race information that I noticed -- usually they don't bother with race information in any case unless it was part of the motivation or speculated motivation on the part of speculators before prosecution has notes public
