I disagree, it's no more complex than the other Slavic languages (I speak one of them fluently, I won't say which). It's the Finno-Ugric group that's the nightmare as far as European languages go. Hungarian and Estonian are monstrosities to learn.

Slavic languages have cases and noun genders, so that kind of thing isn't uncommon. The word for 'two' will change depending on the noun it's describing. It sounds more complicated than it is. You might as well point to the incredibly idiosyncratic nature of English spelling and pronunciation as an example of the difficulty of English:
