Why Brexit pastry get a ? but not English Democrats?

Lib dems, since they're the strongest pro-remain party.
From what I understand, milkshake man is expected to get a strong first place, and the Lib Dems can maybe edge out Labour for second place. Ultimately, I don't expect this election to change much other than further damaging May's (already battered) premiership, since Tories are supposedly going to get absolutely rubbished here.

I don't know much about them, but I consider them less odious than either UKIP or Farage's new nonsense party. They're probably deserving of it, though.

I'm similarly pessimistic, tbh. Ultimately, it's a pretty useless vote, but I'm hoping the Lib Dems do well enough to send a message.

What would a Brexit pastry be like? Half one flavour and half another, and difficult to eat and unsatisfying?

Did anyone run on the platform "Brexit is mega gay"?

The Lib Dems, in fact, had a "bollocks to Brexit" slogan.
@995,917 (tteh !MemesToDNA)
Yeah. It could send a good symbolic message if nothing else.

That's why I voted Brexit party. I've always been a Labour voter in GE but the fact is I do not want to remain and I want even less the deal proposed, which is remaining except without any say over the rules which we are following.

3/4 of way down page "A YouGov survey for the European Council on Foreign Relations, published in the Guardian, put the figures at 37.5% for leave and 36.1% for remain."
Only 1.4% on the plus side of leaving Eu. Appears somewhat Wishy Washy to me.

Brexit party couldn't even come up with a tagline, they too lazy.

Okay, so the Prime Minister just resigned. She's leaving on the 7th of June.
...And apparently Boris is the favourite to replace her. If it goes to the final round of the Tory leadership vote, their rank-and-file members decide, and he's their red-hot favourite.
What a mess...

If it were me I would announce an extraordinary meeting of the legislature.
There would be local-style elections with parties campaigning in their ideal version of Brexit
Representatives would be allocated votes proportional to their population and then would all be locked into a big room and fed only rice and beans and wine until they come to a supermajority agreement on what Brexit looks like.

Twilight Silence, patience, suffering
They burst boldly, inflicting their blow
Activity resists extinction
The illusion of peace destroyed the fire
The illusion of peace burns right on your eyes
And that's obviously not what you wanted.
Truth and freedom, blood on your fists

It's effectively the same thing, Svet. When a new Tory leader is elected, they will become the PM.

One thing I was glad about during Brexit was that our leader, for all of her faults, was relatively levelheaded and moderate. I am delighted that we will now not even have that.

Yeah, I guess it's pretty different to US politics. As I understand, with you guys it's usually just Democrats and Republicans, with the occasional independent.

Yeah it's mainly a two party system when it comes to national elections. Iirc you can run as a dem, rep, independent, green, and maybe libertarian. I'm not sure if someone in the cpusa would be eligible for election or not.
Anonymous G replied with this 7 years ago, 2 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^][v]#996,371
Anyone who runs is eligible, as long as they meet the criteria. Most people won't vote outside of the two party system, tho.

The UK is essentially two party as well, you guys just have weird fringe parties that just form coalitions with either Labour or the Conservatives.
Like a Green Party, UKIP, or Liberal Democrat majority will never happen.

Not so for the EU elections. Otherwise you're right, pretty much. I do like that we have more than two enormous parties, though.
