Topic: So, if it's aliens then why don't we do something?

Anonymous A started this discussion 7 years ago #86,761

I was having a talk with one of my weird Alex Jones friends. He was putting forward this idea that if life evolved pretty much everywhere, then why haven't we seen (official) evidence of it yet? Are we supposed to believe that we're the first? Are we the only life in the universe? It's a stretch to imagine we're just the first and our unawareness is a happy coincidence, right?

So I asked him what that might look like if alien life, particularly alien civilizations, were discovered. He said that it would probably unite humanity in a way that the conspiracy doesn't want. They obviously know that there are multiple races of aliens out there and they don't want people to know about it. So my question is: If you know about that, then why isn't the proper course of action to do something about it? Like shouldn't we have a global economy that can be controlled easily by a confederacy of the major economic powers? How is globalism hurting us in this regard? Aren't you kind of a shill against humanity for even suggesting we do otherwise?

Furthermore, what if life all started evolving at the same rate, and the vast distances between us is the only thing insulating us from seeing civilizations on some of the stars we can easily spot in our night sky. What if tomorrow we get 100 messages from different civilizations saying everything from "We want to trade" to "We want to learn more about you" to "Submit or die"? If that's a thing that might happen, then why isn't anyone out there shouting about the possibility that it might? It seems like people put way more effort into shouting about other things that never happen.

I mean, I've heard people ranting crazy about shit that was way more stupid. The idea that suddenly the skies could light up with communications from intelligent civilizations is, at least, grounded in some reality rather than magic. I don't think it's probable, but I'd give it better odds than a second coming or Ragnarok or something.

So my question is why don't people see the potential alien threat for what it is? Why wouldn't we band together as a species? Isn't it the best way to survive, if that's our goal?

No, really. I'm just trying to connect the yarn and push-pins RICO chart I have going in my basement. I'm trying to figure out why everyone who actually thinks aliens are here as Reptilians or Hollow-Earth nazi robots whatever is so against us being united as a species. Why are these the only people pushing globalism as bad? If there's a real threat, then why not get humanity to unite together or something? Shouldn't they be the people most for that idea? Shouldn't they be paranoid about uniting humanity to face the imminent alien invasion?

They're scared of a global police state from which there can be no escape.

I would imagine that the aliens would have more to fear from that. It's almost like something wants to keep us separated and confused.

You call it human nature. But what if you call it alien conspiracy? Maybe you're one of those people who have been dosed with contrails or fed enough vaccines or fluoride not to question authority like the rest of us enlightened folk who reject everything that doesn't come to us in the form of a meme on social media. I've seen a meme about that on Facebook, and you're just like that. You crazies are so plugged into your mind control media meme darkspiracy deepstate that you can't see that everyday people know better than you because we can read Twitter.
