This time last year it was super hot, now it's cold and wet.

ITS CALLED WEATHER.

Only the government can save us! They are so good at everything else... We need more taxes and regulations on people! Ignore the polluting corporations behind the curtain. Thanks

Listen, get people to forget all the stuff they learned about how pollution is bad. The blame needs to be put on individuals, while industry carries on polluting for profit. Make people feel guilty about not doing enough to save the planet.

Obviously plastic bags and drinking straws are the real problems, and evil people using them is what is causing global warming.

what, the plastic stuff is a reaction to finding particles of the shit everywhere, even in microscopic sea life

Plastic bags and drinking straws are the real problem. People who use them are the ones causing global warming. If this continues the world will be uninhabitable in 12 years

You know, there was a time that the drinking straws were made of waxened helically rolled paper.

You know a theory is retarded when it gets BTFOed so hard that it has to be renamed to make it unfalsifiable, which is only against the fucking cornerstones of science, but who cares about that? It's probably ray ciss and such.

Every ten years scientists tell us the world is going to end in 12 years. You better start believing in the scientific method

"world was going to end" not in the statement

@previous (Sheila LaBoof)
Well, the world ended in 2015 after all the polar ice caps melted due to global warming. This was predicted in 2006 by Al Gore based on science that used computers. That's how real science works.

that sounds like a misrepresentation somehow

More like bore samples. Go talk about how you dug up snow somewhere else. Normal people are talking over here. I shovel the driveway every winter and I don't bring that up at parties.

Externally hosted imageAlso cool thing I found on Twitter. This is from an exxonmobil report issued in 1982. It predicts that by 2020 (so 40 years in the future) we'd be at about CO2 levels of 420 ppm and an average temperature rise of 1°C. It is 2019 and we are now at 415 ppm and a 0.9°C rise. This was predicted 40 years ago by a company that massively funds climate denialism. It's beyond insane.

yep, some of the oil companies are gigantic douchebags with their secret science saying one thing while funding the same PR shitbags that the tabacco companies used when they pretended that smoking was no big deal

Who knows what the studies they've conducted in the past 10-20 years shows!
