Do you think the powers that be are trying to sabotage Brexit, believing that Brexit voters will be too retarded to realize what's going on?
Anonymous C replied with this 7 years ago, 2 minutes later, 2 hours after the original post[^][v]#989,729
No its just Parliament can't decide on what Brexit actually looks like so they can't pass any laws

Do you honestly believe that? I mean, I know the official version is that Parliament is retarded and has no idea what it's doing, but don't you think they're actually working on scrapping Brexit altogether, believing that Brexiteers will be too retarded to pay attention to what is blatantly happening?

"Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person's enemies will be those of his own household" - Matthew 10:34-36

A true follower of Christ must be willing to accept that his own family, friends, and brothers will hate him for his devotion; he will have enemies from within his own household. This is what the passage speaks of.
Do you believe, Father Merrin, that condemning your brother as a "dumbass" demonstrates the humble, patient, compassionate and loving nature of Christ?
"And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful." - Timothy 2:24
"But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: 'God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.'" - James 4:6

@previous (Father Merrin !u5oFWxmY7U) > Yours is quite the airy-fairy interpretation of Christ :))
Christ told us to love our neighbours as ourselves; to be humble, caring, patient, and above all, loving. To speak softly and with wisdom. To turn the other cheek and to not meet hatred with hatred nor anger with anger, but to heap love on even our adversaries. I should like to remind you once again of Timothy 2:24. But consider also Matthew 22:36-40, which I shall reproduce below for the benefit of our friends unfamiliar with Scripture:
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.
Love God and love thy neighbour, my friend! There is no room for foul language as a servant of Christ. :) I wish you well!

It is the understanding. :)
"Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble."
I hope you are having a blessed Sunday, Father!

> How's Brexit working out for you? Didn't you guys leave on March 29th or something? How's life post-EU?
Eu keeps moving the date out at UK request. This is good for the Eu because businesses in UK keep running to Brussels or other locations in the Eu.

That's what I thought. It seems like the EU is raping the UK of its last few resources before finally cutting it loose. Brexit voters really are gullible.

Indeed. They were given a blank ballot in the sense that no one had a clue what they were going to get in the divorce decree. They said they wanted a divorce and that is all they said.
Eu owns all the cards in the deck and controls all the rules. Eu ends up the judge and jury and UK has nothing to bargain with.
