I did actually try for one night. I thought: "This is it. I'm done with it. No more." I dropped my cookies and cleared my browser history. I went upstairs to have what I thought was going to be a nice spaghetti dinner with mom.
Some guy was there. Some guy she had been "seeing" under my nose up until this point. This guy explained that it was maybe a good thing I had here. Living rent free in Mom's basement™ while browsing minichan.org all day. He said that maybe I should just keep doing it. He said that maybe I didn't realize how nice I had it. Then, he finished all the table wine in one giant gulp. He WENT CRAZY! He started threatening to fight some asshole named Bert bare-fisted. He started talking about smashing a surfboard over some old-fuck's head. He almost destroyed the good china. We got him on to the porch. He said he was very fond of my Internet hobby. He said he was very fond of my mom. He said it would be a real shame if anything ever happened to us. You know what: I believe him.
That was almost ten years ago. I'm still posting here. I've never given up hope that this site would take off just like he said it would. Also, I'm afraid that if I don't post here daily, Freddy the Fish is going to feed the ends of my fingers to his little pals. I almost had a career in Managerial Sales Consulting lined up through a really good online university, but I have chosen to stay the course.
