The stores have caught on to this consumer trend and usually don't even slash the prices until a week after the holiday now.
The candy never even gets as cheap as it used to in past years; they know idiots will buy it at only a slight discount because of all the memes about cheap holiday candy.
Several years ago you could be getting pounds of candy for pennies the day after, but those days are gone.

You guys can test this..
Imo when the candy gets discounted it seems like the bags of little packs of m&ms are by far the best value..
