Topic: Fora, what turns a man into a monster? It's weakness.

Anonymous A started this discussion 7 years ago #86,085

I've always fantasized about being a monster, the scariest monster in human form. Now I kind of think that we all are monsters, like that deep down there's a unsatisfied human need in all of us, something we expected out of the world before we even knew what the world was and still is. In that way, remaining a productive person takes a strength so powerful that it might as well be the strength of a monster.

Consider what I'm saying though. You know who Patrick Bateman is? The guy from the film "American psycho"? Edgy Teenagers used to idolize the guy because he's oh, oh so cool. They got it wrong though, it's a guy falling apart but because he broke all the laws while doing it, it looked like some kind of perverted bravery.

Bateman didn't break any laws, it was all in his head. You missed the point of it.

I saw the ambiguous ending and I've heard both sides of it, I'm still unsure though. Regardless, it still looked edgy on camera.

There's nothing ambiguous about it, dipshit. It was all in his head.
