The best before date is more of a guideline. Food doesn't rot and spoil immediately after the date printed on the product lol

This is true. Rule of thumb is you have about two weeks after the expiration date. Sometimes less. Depends on several factors, best to just go by look and smell.

The Smoky Angus Burger - Not smart of you to buy and use out of date GROUND Meat - Ever Never!
"Ground beef can harbor dangerous bacteria whenever it expires."

Bottom line is how much oxygen surrounds that meat so bacteria can grow and Grinding provides the perfect Enviro for Bacterial expansion.

Meat is one thing, you can freeze it and keep it, this goes for all frozen products. The other stuff tho, with the exclusion of the 2-3 days old markdown pastry, gross.

Of course in 3rd world shitholes they hang the meat on hooks out in the open. No Refrig and allow flies and other insects to feast off the meat but then again insects add progeny. Cutting off the outside areas of that meat probably helps.

First let me COMPLIMENT You on the variety of what you buy - Of course image has some blur and my knowledge of Dutch language sucks when I cannot use Google Translate - So I guess when you bought it on date of expiration you cooked it that evening - Me I wood error on side of caution and want something a bit more Fresh - Recalls of ground meat in USA are COMMON! Perhaps Eu is more better about this bacteria issue EXCEPT a quick look at web shows Eu is having a problem getting enough CO2 for meat processing currently.
