Topic: I'm using a Logitech T650 trackpad

Externally hosted imageI got it from a box of stuff they were throwing out at work. Mint condition and barely used. I remember I was selling computers when they came out in 2011 and I really wanted one but they were like $100 and I couldn't really justify spending that much when I already had a few nice trackballs.

Now, finally having one after wanting one for like 8 years I have to say it's not as cool as I thought it would be and I'm glad I didn't spend a hundred dollars on one.

It's just okay.

If I remember right this was when Macbooks got the huge trackpad (back when all other laptops had like the little 2" trackpads) and Apple released the Magic Trackpad for desktop Macs. Windows 7 also got gestures and for a while (like 6 months in 2011) big glass trackpads were the hot new thing.

I still think touchscreens on laptops are stupid.

Externally hosted imageDell also released a big ass trackpad around the same time. I don't remember anyone ever actually buying one.

Speaking of touch, everyone touched the iMac screens all the fucking time. Somehow everyone expected them to be touchscreens. That always puzzled me. Who wants to move their hands all across a 27" screen?!?!

Is it better than a mouse?

Not really. I don't like mice (I much prefer trackballs) but this isn't really much better than a mouse.
