Topic: cousin of Steven Tyler of Aerosmith plans to sell a Intellivision-branded console

As I mentioned in http://minichan.org/topic/85508, a company plans to sell a new console with the Atari brand on it. Well, even though the original companies don't even exist, the Atari and Intellivision brands may be competing again, as some dude decided to make yet another game console. The dude has some history in making game music.

Anyway, the plan is to name it Amico. It will play "reimagined" (not the 1980s original) Intellivision games and also play whatever new games they come up with, all with a stated goal of being family-oriented (no hookers and blow games).

Comments include:
Ugh…. looks like a breast milk pumping appliance.
Looks like a humidifier with a couple iPods on top
Looks like an orthopedic machine.
It looks like a take out food box...
When I'm done using it, can it keep my leftovers in the fridge until my next gaming session? Because it looks like a styrofoam clamshell with two iPods taped to it.

Is someone going around convincing rich kids and Z-list celebrities that they can be just like Silicon Valley entrepreneurs by dumping money into slapdash emulation rigs with shitty branding? Retro console emulation has had a pretty good grassroots community going for years that ran on nothing but nostalgia and amateur enthusiasts around the world. I can enjoy old games just fine without paying some chode in Irvine, CA for his crappy emulation cabinet.

Seriously though this part is awesome:

No ads, downloadable content, loot boxes, or in-game purchases

I wish games went back to the model of you buy the game and that's it. I hate IAP and paid DLC.
