When I was little I had very blonde hair, it was white. It looked good, blonde hair isn't very common and I wish I hadn't dyed it. The benefits of hindsight. Anyway when I got to 13 I decided to dye it. First I dyed it dark blue, it was like that for a while then I dyed it black. Basically, after the black grew out, my hair turned brown (black + blonde = brown I guess), and it has been dark brown for 7 years now. I will never have white/blonde hair again and I kick myself for it, but no-one told me blond hair does this when dyed. Has this happened to anyone else? It's natural for hair to grow darker as the person ages until a certain point. You can't permanently alter your hair color in that way.

I don't remember when she dyed it, sometime in her teens. When I was 14-16 my hair was a weird metallic dark purple before eventually looking completely brown. The dye never seemed to grow out. Unless you are saying that my hair naturally went from blonde to brown overnight whilst it was growing out (my brother is two years younger than me and still completely blonde).
