People tend to make god in their own image?
I know we pretend the opposite is true, but it's really the reverse right? People always think God is just like them. It's an all powerful version of them and what they think the world might be if everyone just did what they said. People have always done this. Even if the God was part animal or part celestial body or part whatever. It's always part human. God, or some god, is just like us in part. Part Sun, or part cow, or part eagle, or part crocodile. It doesn't matter. It's just a myth. Maybe God comes to Earth as his own son and kills himself to himself as a sacrifice that makes him smile so he can can make people free like he made other people free. Maybe it's a king that conquers the demons. Maybe it's a one God that speaks through a prophet that no one agrees about.
It's a myth for a reason. No one actually thinks what you think. No one actually believes in your personal Jesus or Mohammed or whatever. It's not real. All you can do is hope that people around you won't be horrible to you. They won't be horrible to you. Mostly because they are feeling the same thing that you are. I know it helps if you all huddle together and pretend to believe in a bullshit whatever, but it's not what really makes life special. It's the fear and respect that you treat other pieces of life with. Treat every life, every person, you meet like a newborn baby, and value them like new life upon this earth.
Just be nice to each other. Treat everything you see like a piece of your living self. See how that works. When it fails, remember the first rule.
EDIT: Oh, AND DON'T FUCK KIDS. Especially, don't FUCK KIDS and cover up about you FUCKING KIDS. If you FUCK KIDS and keep FUCKING KIDS and cover up for other people FUCKING KIDS. God WILL BURN IN A LAKE OF FIRE. Seriously, taking advantage of old people and kids is just about as far as you you can go without people delighting about you being broken on the wheel and dismembered on Earth. If you do shit like that and think you are getting away with it in MY NAME?? The next INFINITY years is going to suck for you.
