When I was but a wee lad, a local boy that I had only met that day told a joke involving "damn ham" and someone being admonished for using profanity. The punchline was that the son at the dinner table said to "pass the fuckin' potatoes". I didn't see much too laugh about there. So the kid has a fuckin' mouth on him and that's the whole joke.
So I now search for the joke about passing fuckin' potatoes, and come up with this site that has several versions of the fuckin' potatoes joke. http://www.jokebuddha.com/Dam
I now understand the subtleties a bit better. There was a misunderstanding on the boy's part about what was meant by "damn ham". It was really "dam ham", or dam fish in variations of the joke.
