Well thatched roofs are common enough. We have a classroom in a thatched building.
As for the rest they are tourist attractions at castles [Real ones]

No but I go to school in a Country house set in acres of grounds with deer herds and ornamental gardens. My Home is in the grounds. It's a large cottage that has been extended over the years and thinking about it , thats mostly thatched too.
