There is nothing wrong with eating chalk. In fact, eating pure chalk can be beneficial! It contains calcium carbonate which is an antacid and can help with heartburn. Most school grade chalk though is actually gypsum.

Try living near an area where they frac, our tap water here is shit, even after being filtered. Unless you filter it through diatomaceous earth.

It depends what you are trying to filter out. What is the size and concentration of the particles you are trying to remove? It's pretty much impossible to select the right filter if you don't know what you are filtering.
