For Cosby to appeal he needs to go through a litany of lower courts long before it could be heard (maybe) by the Super court. Besides he said the other day he is enjoying his forced vacation.

The supreme court didn't agree with Cosby unanimously. It didn't even consider the merits of his case. It denied cert, meaning effectively, the court was asked to hear the case, and they said "No thanks." It actually means even less than that. For the supreme court to grant cert (agree to take the case), four justices need to agree to her it. This wasn't that nine justices agreed with Bill Cosby, it was that at most 3 (and likely 0) thought this case was worth hearing. They get over 10,000 cases submitted to them each year. They hear maybe a hundred. This is what happens to almost every single case that gets filed.
The only reason this one was significant was because Justice Thomas seems to think that NYT v. United States, the single most important cases defending freedom of the press & the First Amendment, was wrongly decided because, "The States are perfectly capable of striking an acceptable balance between encouraging robust public discourse and providing a meaningful remedy for reputational harm."
This is horrifying and entirely ahistorical. Newspapers were routinely bullied by state and local politicians until that case. Thomas is old and needs to go.

Yes however Trump despises the free press because they are mostly against him. So Trump can press the Supreme court to revise that old ruling.

No. It's not that they disagreed, it's that they didn't even think about the case at all. As a matter of practicality, what that means is the lower court's ruling stands, but that's not the same as the court actively affirming or denying any part of the lawsuit or ruling.
