Topic: Pope again leads the fight against abuse, declares war on Satan.

Father Merrin !u5oFWxmY7U started this discussion 7 years ago #84,612

Pope Francis has denounced child abusers as "tools of Satan":

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-47348479

In this speech, the Pope makes a very important point - that although we may sometimes think Satan has been vanquished for good, he is still very much at work in our world, ensnaring even the strongest and most principled of men. Indeed we see how strong the devil is, when he can make even priests commit crimes! Always be vigilant my friends. Keep your faith strong. The Pedophile Protecting Pope did nothing of value - Gave Blow Jobs aka Hot Air to the Pedophile hierarchy he gathered around him.
One Cardinal said 30 years of records against the pedophile clergy was destroyed.

Just bullshit cover up of pedophiles by the Catholic Church -

Nonsense. There is no connection between Catholicism and child abuse. Some people use the 'cover' of the clergy to satiate the perverse needs that Satan put in them.

Showing those kind of facts to TG only gets his juices flowing and he starts to drool. He believes an abused child deserves the abuse. You just will never find him admitting to it.

"Pope Francis has promised concrete action to tackle child sex abuse at the end of a Roman Catholic Church summit on paedophilia.

Bishops would now review and strengthen their guidelines to prevent abuse and punish perpetrators, he added"

> Gave Hot Air to the hierarchy he gathered around him.

A promise of "concrete action" is hot air? You're starting to look foolish.

> One Cardinal said 30 years of records against the pedophile clergy was destroyed.

"30 years of records" eh? Nice twisting of what he actually said:

With the Church losing Billions of dollars in law suits because it's the Christian breeding ground for pedophilia, the Church runs out the clock so clergy cannot be put in prison.

So very true. Without the Catholic Church we wouldn't have had much of the great art of the Renaissance. The finest masterpieces of Michelangelo (Sistine chapel ceiling, The Last Judgement...) and Raphael (The School of Athens) were commissioned by the Pope. Plus we also have all the fine work the Church has done in helping the vulnerable and the less fortunate all over the world.

This is where actually reading things would help you look slightly less silly. The Pope promised concrete action, the full plan of which will be announced soon. You really think his brief closing remarks at the conclusion of a summit was when he was going to give the details of what will be a very long and complex strategy?

Catholic Church 2000+ years old. We continue to wait for solutions to stop the sexual abuse of children.
Nothing concrete will happen. The Pope really has no power to stop it.

It's nice to know we'll always have an imaginary scapegoat to blame for criminal activity. We wouldn't want to hold priests accountable for stuff they did if we can blame some trickster demon instead.

> Catholic Church 2000+ years old.

No it isn't. The first Pope, St Peter, began his papal reign in around AD 60. You're confusing the birth of the Catholic Church with the birth of Christ. While the papacy is the oldest continuing absolute monarchy in the world, it is not "2000+ years old". It began at the end of Christ's life when he handed the 'key' to St Peter and enjoined him to create a church.

As I so often have to say to people during these debates: a basic understanding of the subject would go a long way to making you appear less foolish.

> Nothing concrete will happen. The Pope really has no power to stop it.

The Pope is Christ's Vicar on Earth. Almost all things are within his power.

Satan's goal is to corrupt the innocence of God's creation, therefore the corruption of children is one of his methods. That is what the Pope meant when he described child abusers as "Tools of Satan".

So what you're trying to say TG, is that Satan is present in the Catholic world, and his presence is the cause of catholics to become child abusers?

Is Satan scared of other religions? Because you don't hear about Satan's presence at other religions turning people into child molesters....

Cause if Satan is in my world, he doesn't make me do any of what you catholics do to children.

I did, yes. And not for the first time, I'm seeing that you don't know what the word 'catholic' with a small c means. But never fear my child! A lot of our work in the Catholic Church involves reaching out to those with poor education.
