Topic: Billions of unique individuals, what's the deal with that?

Anonymous A started this discussion 7 years ago #84,527

Everybody has a experience one time or another where they don't just know that everyone is as unique as them, but they fully grasp the knowledge and seriously take it in, that's when it gets freaky. I'm feeling a little freaked out to be honest. I keep seeing images of people I associate with through work, i see the warm facial expressions. These people, they are just above the level of complete strangers yet they are so kind.

Are most people like this? Is the planet full of billions of people who would treat me in this way if I hung around them, if I merely associated with them? Probably not but yet a lot of people are this way, good natured. So when I go home and have to be amongst strangers, it feels so incredibly absurd, because I have to remind myself that there's a strange line that I don't understand, a line where people treat each other differently and to be honest, this line seems so arbitrary. It's all very arbitrary.

What is the deal with New England anyway? It's over 200 years old! Last I checked, that's not that new.
