Where do lawyers get these numbers from?

Isn't the number from the possibility that he might have become a multi millionaire UNTIL Washington post decide to (perhaps unlawfully) cover him in a certain light

You can read all the complaints and justifications for the numbers on the law firm's blog: http://www.hemmerlaw.com/blog/for-truth-for-justice-for-nicholas/

It refers to Phillips as "defendant Phillips" once even though he's not a named defendant.
$200 million in punitive damages seems to be a number pulled, as far as I can tell, entirely from their own asshole.

I wish them luck! Very few people sue billionaires and win.

Nick Sandmann is part of a liberal plot to overturn the First Amendment. The liberals now have a two pronged attack on the Constitution, with David Hogg on the other side.

Yeah, Sandmann's lawyers don't seem like the sharpest tools in the shed. It reads like a collection of vague complaints that are somehow supposed to add up to defamation. My guess is they are more interested in making a spectacle of it than making a case.

Hell...I dont agree with them suing... but they'll most likely get several million just from the WP suit..

When a company is sued for 200 million the thinking goes like this-

Well we better settle for 3 or 4 million and that will completely keep us from losing from 5-200 million..

I think at most what the kid deserves is a couple of 10 dollar giftcards from McDonalds..

So they're suing the Washington Post after they assaulted an Indian war veteran?

They approached the vet and surrounded him and Sandmann smirked at him.
