Plus the power and money coming to victims of hate crimes is so great that there is a need to fake hate crimes. Two of the biggest hate crimes to hit the news of late have been fake.

The Indian lied about being a Vietnam war veteran and it was the Indian who approached the teens and was aggressive. The teens pretty much just smirked but the media passed judgement based of a smirk and assumed the rest
